Tidewater Region

The Tidewater is a region steeped in history. Tidewater is the original Jamestown colony location. Tidewater also has Colonial Williamsburg, a historical town that runs as if it is 1750; there are many crafts and educational opportunities here, and all workers are costumed in colonial garb.

Tidewater lays claim to Busch Gardens Williamsburg Theme Park, considered one of the most beautiful theme parks in the world; and the water park Water Country USA.

There are some great golfing facilities here as well.

The Tidewater is also home to Virginia Beach, the famous stretch of sandy white beaches bordered by a wide boardwalk. Virginia Beach is always pulsing with life, and there are various free seasonal events and other fun attractions such as the Cape Henry Lighthouse, which is the oldest we have in the USA, built in 1792, as well as the actual landing points of the English along the coast.
