Bedford Landings Bed & Breakfast is a unique timber-framed home located at Smith Mountain Lake airport. Although about 25% of guests fly in their private planes for an overnight, the airstrip is within walking distance of the house. Other guests arrive by car to enjoy Smith Mountain Lake, the Blueridge mountains, the history and beauty of the area, or to attend weddings and reunions or just get away from the hustle-bustle of life. The innkeepers live on property and will help guests learn their way around, discuss restaurant and sight-seeing options, and prepare a scrumptious breakfast each morning. Note: The airport just accommodates small planes. It is interesting and not overly loud and rarely are there night flights!
